“So Ahab came into his house sullen and vexed because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he said, “I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed and turned away his face and ate no food.” ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭21:4‬
As a King, King Ahab used to getting all that he wanted, that’s why it made him extremely sad when he did not get the land from Naboth.
Naboth believed that the Land is given by God to his fathers, according to His will.
God knows what we need, even what we want. Sometimes, we feel the same when God does not answer our prayers because we were used to always getting what we asked of God.
We ask God because we only depend on Him not because He will always do what we want. Remember, everything that God is doing is all for His purpose and His glory.
The answers to our prayers may be different from what we hope for, be it a yes, no, and wait. Let us accept God’s answer. After all, He knows more, His plans are far greater than ours.
